Modern, Sustainable Composite Slatted Fencing with a Natural Timber-Look Finish
The new and improved 2nd Generation DuraPost® URBAN Slatted Composite Panels combine contemporary design with a natural timber-look finish, creating a stylish and durable alternative to traditional timber fencing.
Manufactured using 80% recycled materials, the URBAN system provides a more sustainable fencing solution without compromising on appearance or performance.
The composite boards are manufactured from recycled HDPE and recycled wood flour, with a virgin HDPE outer skin providing enhanced UV stability.
URBAN boards can be installed horizontally or vertically, giving you the flexibility to create a fencing design to complement both contemporary and traditional outdoor spaces.
A complete DuraPost® URBAN panel consists of:
- 6 x URBAN Composite Boards
- 6 x Reinforcing Bars
- 2 x Horizontal U-Shaped Rails
Important: A reinforcing bar MUST be installed inside every URBAN board to provide the required strength and rigidity.
Installation Requirements
Correct installation is essential for the performance of the DuraPost® URBAN system.
- One reinforcing bar must be used per board
- Reinforcing bars should be positioned so they align correctly with the fixing holes
- A 5mm expansion gap must be left at both sides and at the top of the panel
- Boards can be fitted horizontally or vertically
- Use the appropriate DuraPost® fixings when constructing the panel
URBAN Composite Boards
The 2nd Generation URBAN boards are manufactured from recycled HDPE and recycled wood flour, providing the natural appearance of timber with the benefits of modern composite materials.
A virgin HDPE outer skin provides additional UV stability, helping maintain the appearance of the boards when exposed to outdoor conditions.
Reinforcing Bars (Included)
Reinforcing bars provide essential strength and rigidity to the URBAN composite boards.
When inserting the reinforcing bar, its position should be checked carefully to ensure it aligns with the required fixing hole before the panel is assembled.
URBAN Rails (Additional Item)
DuraPost® URBAN rails are manufactured from pre-galvanised sheet metal and finished with a TGIC-free powder coating to provide a corrosion-resistant protective barrier.
The rails are coated in accordance with BS 13438.
Fixings
URBAN fencing bays are assembled using 30mm Pan Head Phillips self-drilling screws.
The screws can drill through a DuraPost® where required and feature colour-matched pan heads for a clean, professional finish.

Important Installation Note
